Il successo nella pallacanestro è un bivio: o si vince, o non si vince. In questa stagione non abbiamo raggiunto il nostro obiettivo. Non vincendo il campionato, non abbiamo raggiunto l’obiettivo che ci eravamo prefissati. La delusione per il fallimento rimarrà per un po’, forse fino alla prima palla a due della prossima stagione. Ci spronerà e ci spingerà a raggiungere livelli più alti.
Detto questo, il non aver raggiunto il nostro obiettivo non annulla la miriade di risultati positivi raggiunti dalla nostra squadra e dalla nostra società in questa stagione. In campo, abbiamo sconfitto squadre storiche e affermate, siamo arrivati alle semifinali di Coppa Italia e abbiamo combattuto valorosamente in una serie di playoff nella quale abbiamo potuto giocare in casa solo una volta. La nostra squadra ha creato un legame con la sua tifoseria: in campo, nella comunità, nei cuori e nelle menti di coloro che amano questo gioco come noi.
Sono incredibilmente orgoglioso dei nostri giocatori, dei nostri allenatori, del front office, dei dirigenti e del personale. Sono profondamente grato a tutti i membri del nostro Department of Community and Fan Engagement e Communications Department, che sono stati giustamente riconosciuti dalla Lega per il loro lavoro stimolante e innovativo. Sono grato ai nostri addetti alla biglietteria, al palazzetto, al merchandising, alle attività del gameday, al team commerciale, al personale finanziario e amministrativo e ai nostri custodi per il loro lavoro esemplare di quest’anno. Vorrei riconoscere ed esprimere la mia più sincera gratitudine ai nostri sponsor che ci hanno sostenuto così generosamente nel corso della stagione e per la vera partnership che abbiamo creato.
Per ultimo, ma non certo per importanza, vorrei ringraziare i nostri straordinari tifosi, il nostro “Sesto Uomo” per il loro instancabile sostegno, energia e passione. Il vostro supporto ci ha permesso di arrivare terzi in campionato per numero di presenze, un’impresa notevole, ma, ancora più importante, avete creato un ambiente che ci fornisce un vantaggio competitivo inconfondibile in ogni partita casalinga. Prima della prima partita di questa stagione contro Milano, vi ho esortato a ricordare a tutta la Serie A la Bora che soffia nella nostra città con l’energia che sapete creare nel palazzetto. E lo avete fatto. GRAZIE.
Non vedo l’ora che arrivi la prossima stagione.

Letter from the President, Paul Matiasic
Success in basketball is a binary proposition: you either win, or you don’t. This season, we fell short of our goal. Without winning a championship, we did not accomplish that which we set out to achieve. The disappointment of falling short will linger for a bit, perhaps until the opening tip of next season. It will feed us, fuel us, and propel us to greater heights.
That said, falling short of our goal does not, and cannot, negate the myriad positive achievements attained by our team and organization this season. On the court, we conquered titans at the outset of this season, advanced to the semifinals of the Coppa Italia, and fought valiantly in a playoff series deprived of the comforts of home for all but one game. Our team forged a bond with its fan base: on the court, in the community, and in the hearts and minds of those who love this game as much as we do.
I am incredibly proud of our players, our coaches, front office, managers, and staff. I am deeply grateful to all members of our Department of Community and Fan Engagement and Communications Department, respectively, who rightfully were recognized by the league for their inspiring and innovative work. I am grateful for our ticketing agents, arena operations, merchandising, gameday teams, commercial team, finance and administration personnel, and our custodians for their exemplary work this year.
I would like to acknowledge and express my sincerest gratitude to our sponsors who so generously supported us on our journey through the season and for the true partnership we forged.
Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank our extraordinary fans, our ‘Sixth’ man for your tireless support, energy, and passion. Your sustenance allowed us to finish third in the league in attendance, a remarkable feat, but even more importantly, you created an home environment that provide us with an unmistakable competitive advantage every home game. Before our first game this season against Milano, I exhorted you to remind Serie A of the ferocious bora that your energy creates through our arena. And you did. THANK YOU.
