Il PalaTrieste potrà essere un fattore determinante nella stagione: “C’è stato un momento dopo la partita di venerdì in cui io e Michael (Arcieri, ndr) ci siamo guardati intorno e abbiamo pensato di quanto fosse bello essere parte di una squadra che ha una così grande connessione con i suoi tifosi, con un’incredibile energia condivisa. È un modo splendido per giocare. Quello che voglio è che ogni partita sia così entusiasmante come quella con Udine per far capire ai tifosi quanto li apprezziamo e quanto abbiamo bisogno di loro. Già da questo martedì. Vogliamo diventare il palazzetto più difficile in tutta Italia dove venire a giocare. Senza il vostro aiuto non possiamo riuscirci. È un modo diverso di stare in campo, si tratterà di una partita “nuova” anche per noi: il modo in cui fanno girare la palla, il modo in cui arrivano a canestro in area. Sarà una bella sfida per noi. Avremo bisogno di tutto il supporto possibile per portare a casa il risultato”.
Sullo spirito di squadra: “In questo viaggio cerchiamo di essere il meglio che possiamo essere, ogni singolo giorno. Fino ad oggi ci siamo riusciti. Siamo riusciti ad alzare l’asticella in ogni partita, in ogni sfida affrontata. Quello che dico ai giocatori è sempre di essere il meglio che possono ogni giorno, ogni volta che conta. Fino ad ora lo abbiamo fatto. In un torneo come questo è necessario continuare a trovare il modo e le soluzioni che ci permettano di farlo sempre”.
