Prosegue la presentazione del roster biancorosso. Dalla sala stampa del PalaTrieste oggi è stato il turno di Eli Brooks e Ariel Filloy, accompagnati dal GM della Pallacanestro Trieste Mike Arcieri e da coach Jamion Christian.
A fare gli onori di casa Mike Ariceri: “Ariel ed Eli sono due giocatori che giocano molto bene e quest’estate avevano tante opportunità. Hanno scelto Trieste, hanno voluto fortemente questa avventura e noi siamo felici di questo”.
Dello stesso parere coach Jamion Christian: “Per tornare nella massima serie è necessario partire da giocatori di esperienza, che sanno cosa fare: Ariel è uno di questi e sono felicissimo sia con noi. Allo stesso tempo è giusto inserire anche elementi giovani e di talento come Eli. Sono giocatori Hanno una grande abilità e talento nel cercare anche soluzioni alternative quando necessario. Amo allenare questo tipo di giocatori”.
Per Ariel Filloy si tratta di un ritorno: “Sono molto contento di essere di nuovo qui a Trieste. Quando è nata la possibilità di tornare ho accettato subito: Mike era molto carico nel mostrarmi organizzazione e obiettivi. Sono contento di calarmi nelle idee di gioco del coach: ci sono molte situazioni in cui è fondamentale la collaborazione fra noi giocatori e questo mi piace molto. Il feeling che si è creato fra noi e lo staff è molto positivo, lavoriamo seriamente e con entusiasmo ogni giorno per raggiungere i nostri obiettivi”.
Eli Brooks esprime tutto il suo entusiasmo per questa nuova avventura: “È un gruppo speciale. I compagni mi stanno aiutando nel conoscere l’ambiente e la città, davvero molto bella. Con coach Christian ci conosciamo da dieci anni e sono veramente felice di ritrovarlo qui a Trieste. Sappiamo quello che dobbiamo fare in allenamento ed è quello a cui dobbiamo pensare ogni giorno”.

As host, Mike Arcieri said, “Ariel and Eli are two players who play very well, and this summer they had many opportunities. They chose Trieste, they strongly wanted this adventure, and we are happy about that.”
Coach Jamion Christian shares the same opinion: “To return to the top league, it’s necessary to start with experienced players who know what to do: Ariel is one of them, and I’m thrilled he’s with us. At the same time, it’s right to include young and talented elements like Eli. They are players who have great skill and talent in finding alternative solutions when needed. I love coaching this kind of player”.
For Ariel Filloy, it’s a return: “I’m very happy to be back here in Trieste. When the opportunity to return arose, I accepted immediately: Mike was very enthusiastic in showing me the organization and goals. I’m glad to immerse myself in the coach’s game ideas: there are many situations where collaboration among us players is essential, and I really like that. The positive bond that has formed between us and the staff is strong; we work seriously and enthusiastically every day to achieve our objectives”.
Eli Brooks is enthusiastic about this new adventure: “It’s a special group. My teammates are helping me get to know the environment and the city, which is really beautiful. I’ve known Coach Christian for ten years, and I’m truly happy to find him here in Trieste. We know what we need to do in training, and that’s what we must focus on daily”.
