Ospite della trasmissione “Il Caffè dello Sport” su Telequattro, Local Media Partner biancorosso, Coach Jamion Christian ha parlato dell’imminente esordio di mercoledì al PalaTrieste con OrziBasket (partita che verrà trasmessa in differita giovedì 5 ottobre alle 13.50 e alle 23.30).
Ad aprire il focus sulla squadra di Coach Christian il grande entusiasmo manifestato dai tifosi durante la presentazione delle formazioni biancorosse di sabato scorso, per poi passare alle sensazioni di questi primi mesi: “Abbiamo avuto un’ottima partenza in questa pre-season. Amo questa città e questi ragazzi, che alleno davvero con piacere perché danno tutto in ogni allenamento. Sto imparando molto da loro per creare, insieme allo staff, una squadra sempre più competitiva”.
Sullo stile di gioco che caratterizzerà la sua squadra: “Abbiamo dieci giocatori che sanno giocare in velocità e con scelte rapide. Sicuramente l’impatto difensivo sarà un aspetto importante in ogni gara: faranno la differenza le squadre che sapranno migliorarsi di più in entrambe le due fasi di gioco”.
Sulle squadre del campionato e la concentrazione che sarà necessaria per affrontare al meglio una stagione lunga: “La competizione deve spingerci a dimostrare le nostre qualità. Affrontare squadre che avranno come noi sempre la voglia di vincere è una sfida in primis verso noi stessi. Abbiamo giocatori in grado di alzare il livello e affrontare i momenti di difficoltà con la loro leadership”.
Sui tifosi e la loro voglia di basket: “Una delle cose che apprezzo molto dei nostri tifosi è la loro competenza nel gioco. Fa crescere la passione intorno alla squadra e spero anche il loro calore al palazzetto durante tutta la stagione”.

Opening the discussion about Coach Christian’s team, there was great enthusiasm expressed by the fans during the presentation of the “Biancorossi” lineups last Saturday. He then discussed the feelings of these first few months: “We had an excellent start in this pre-season. I love this city and these players, and I genuinely enjoy coaching them because they give their all in every practice. I’m learning a lot from them to create, along with the staff, a more competitive team”.
Regarding the playing style that will characterize his team: “We have ten players who know how to play at a fast pace and make quick decisions. Certainly, the defensive impact will be an important aspect in every game: the teams that can improve in both phases of the game will make a difference”.
On the teams in the league and the concentration required to face a long season successfully: “Competition should drive us to showcase our qualities. Facing teams that, like us, always have the desire to win is a challenge primarily against ourselves. We have players capable of raising the level and dealing with difficult moments with their leadership”.
On the fans and their love for basketball: “One of the things I really appreciate about our fans is their knowledge of the game. It fuels the passion around the team, and I also hope for their warmth at the arena throughout the season”.
