Justin, benvenuto a Trieste. Hai incontrato il coach, lo staff e i tuoi compagni: quali sono le tue prime sensazioni?
“Sono arrivato ieri, ho ricevuto un benvenuto caloroso. Ho visitato il palazzetto e un po’ la città, che è davvero bellissima”.
Come giudichi la tua esperienza alla FIBA World Cup?
“Porto Rico è il mio Paese natale e aver avuto la possibilità di rappresentarlo giocando i Mondiali è stato speciale. Ho potuto vedere i diversi modi di giocare degli altri Paesi e questo mi ha permesso di imparare molto”.
A Trieste ritrovi Arcieri e Ferrero: cosa significa per te?
“Quando ho saputo che sarebbero stati qui a Trieste ero felice perché ho un rapporto speciale con entrambi”.
Il GM dice che puoi ricoprire diversi ruoli. Qual è la tua caratteristica migliore e cosa pensi di poter dare alla squadra e ai tuoi compagni?
“Penso che quello che posso fare può cambiare di partita in partita e anche durante il match stesso. La mia versatilità può essere utile in diverse situazioni, giocando da ala piccola o grande. Quello che è più importante è cercare sempre la soluzione migliore per aiutare la squadra ad arrivare alla vittoria”.
Pensi di dover adattare qualcosa del tuo gioco in A2?
“Rispetto allo scorso anno penso di dover essere un po’ più aggressivo, nei momenti giusti della partita. Sia in A1 che in A2 è importante essere competitivi in ogni partita”.
Un messaggio per i tifosi biancorossi.
“Grazie per la pazienza, sono felicissimo di essere finalmente qui. Non vedo l’ora di incontrarvi al PalaTrieste. Forza Trieste!”.

Justin Reyes, fresh from the FIBA World Cup with Puerto Rico, has finally arrived in Trieste and took part in his first practice under Coach Christian today. Here are his words.
Justin, welcome to Trieste. You’ve met the coach, the staff, and your teammates. What are your initial impressions?
“I arrived yesterday and received a warm welcome. I’ve visited the arena and a bit of the city, which is truly beautiful”.
How do you assess your experience at the FIBA World Cup?
“Representing Puerto Rico in the World Cup was special since it’s my home country. I had the opportunity to see different play styles from other countries, and it allowed me to learn a lot”.
In Trieste, you reunite with Arcieri and Ferrero. What does that mean to you?
“When I found out they would be here in Trieste, I was happy because I have a special relationship with both of them”.
The GM says you can fill various roles. What do you think is your best characteristic, and what do you believe you can bring to the team and your teammates?
“I think what I can do can change from game to game and even during the same game. My versatility can be valuable in different situations, whether playing as a small forward or power forward. What’s most important is always seeking the best solution to help the team win”.
Do you think you need to adjust anything in your game for the A2 league?
“Compared to last year, I need to be a bit more aggressive at the right moments in the game. Whether in A1 or A2, it’s essential to be competitive in every match”.
